Hello,

I am Daniel Nalley, and I serve as an evangelist with Gospel Encounter. I am honored to share with you the burden that God has put in my heart for the cities of Champaign and Urbana Illinois. Imagine if the churches came together to saturate the community with the good news of Jesus. Our vision is to see a unified effort for an extended season of evangelism.

God called me an evangelist soon after I got saved, and I have faithfully fulfilled that call for nearly two decades. In the last five years, we have seen over one hundred thousand salvations from our evangelistic campaigns. The Gospel Encounter team has partnered with local churches and organizations to put on citywide outreaches in every county of Southern Illinois and cities nationwide. Now, we sense God has called us to serve Champaign in 2025.

We want to see Christians from all walks of life unite to serve and reach the city for the Gospel. With Champaign being a diverse area, reaching people where they are is essential. Imagine teams of people co-laboring to identify specific groups to minister to in various ways. We want to explore the possibility of doing an outreach campaign style called saturation evangelism. This approach aims to facilitate various micro-outreaches leading up to a one or two-day festival. Each micro-outreach is led by different teams and focuses on reaching a specific demographic of people in the city. What would the ripple effect be from a combined effort of focused outreach?

God loves Champaign/Urbana, and we want to see his love poured out on the lost. We want the city to know that Jesus was sent because God loved them and is making himself known to them. Our goal is to see 15,000 people impacted by the Gospel in Champaign over the duration of the outreach campaign. This kind of movement cannot happen without the local churches. We want to help unite the body of Christ to see a sustained evangelism movement followed by deep discipleship.

On March 7th at 9:00 am, we are holding an informational meeting at Salt and Light for pastors, business leaders, community leaders, and individuals interested in discovering more. We hope to see you there and cannot wait to dream with local leaders about how we can partner to see Champaign and Urbana impacted in a deep way for the gospel. We believe it will spark an ongoing spiritual renewal in the community for years to come.
